In Memoriam of mom, wife, and friend

Diana Zinno

1964-2024

In loving memory of Diana Zinno.

It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Diana Zinno on December 5th, 2024, at the age of 60. She confronted a rare form of leukemia with bravery and courageously fought against it for more than a year. Throughout her battle, rather than lament her circumstances, Diana chose to remain hopeful about the future.

Diana had an unwavering joy for life. She remained true to her values, while embracing an open and adventurous spirit. One of her great joys was creating memorable moments for her children to cherish. Always eager to experience new things, she found happiness in traveling and meeting new people.

Diana brought joy and laughter to the people around her. With a warm demeanor and a witty sense of humor, she had an innate ability to truly connect with people. Her compassion and empathetic temperament naturally led her to a career as a healthcare professional. She dedicated 40 years of service both as a respiratory therapist and then as the assistant manager of the pediatric sleep laboratory, making a profound impact on the lives of many.

Diana provided abundant care and devotion to her loved ones. She welcomed many into her home with generosity and took pride in celebrating the people who surrounded her. Her untimely departure leaves an irreplaceable void in our lives, yet we find solace in the memories she created and the enduring love she shared with us.

Diana is survived by her devoted husband of 36 years, Biagio, and her three beloved children: Felicia, Giordano, and Gian-Lorenzo. Her memory will live on through her family, in-laws, and many friends.

Visitation will be held at Urgel Bourgie Funeral Home (1255 Av. Beaumont, TMR) on Saturday, December 21st, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Sunday, December 22nd, from 2:30 to 5:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Parking is available on-street and in the parking lots of St. George Orthodox Church and Casa d’Italia (both at the intersection of Lajeunesse and Jean-Talon). In keeping with Diana’s wishes, food and drinks will be shared at the church following the service.
